Weekly active living #3 july 10-17

During this week I wasn't very active because I was pretty sick and on the days I felt better I had to work. I'd say working in heals for 7 hours is quite the work out if you ask me. Other then my regular walk to work and work days, I went swimming a few times and did a lot of laps and worked on different swimming techniques. Oh, and I also carried three big bags of bottles to the bottle depo and it sure was a work out, my arms were sore for days!

Weekly Active Living for May 17-23

Well everyday that I work I walk and it takes 20 minutes. I also went swimming for a few hours at my apartment pool and also played basket ball with my boyfriend and his little brother.

About me

Hey there, my name is Jocelyn. I am 19 years old and go to an alternate school called power. I have been working since I was 14 years old and moved out when I was 16. I am very hardworking and independent. I really want to get back in shape with this gym class because I used to be very active. Working 6 days a week and going to school kept me too busy to give me time to take care of myself. I recently just dropped to 4 shifts a week to get in a better routine and work on getting back into shape and have a healthy life style. This is only until I graduate then hopefully I can get day shifts and have my evenings free. I like to spend most of my free time with my best friend as well as my boyfriend. We live together and work a lot so when we have free time we usually want to spend it together whether its watching a movie, going out for dinner, or swimming in our pool and hot tub. I have three siblings one older sister, and two younger brothers. I have always kinda been left out of my family as the middle child. I still love them very much and see them when I can. A saying I live by is " happiness brings success, not the other way around." That's a little about me!

My thoughts on P.E

Physical fitness is important to me because it helps a lot with my stress and appetite. I used to go to the gym at least 3 times a week but with school and work it is kinda hard to find the time. I also really love our gym class because instead of being locked up in a gym like most schools we are outside enjoying the nature. We do really fun stuff like ultimate baseball and MMA, which gets me wanting to participate more. I am super upset I dropped out of p.e last year because I heard they went wake-boarding, but at least I have a second chance this year and I am going to make it count. It really sucks that this year there was a strike, as I didn't get to spend as much time in gym getting back in shape as I wanted. I'm looking forward to my last week at power enjoying the summer weather with our bike ride on Thursday and paddle boarding  on monday. I am so thankful for the power program and for the teachers that always pushed me to not give up and remind me I am more then capable. I hope for the last day of p.e we could go walk down to the volleyball net and play beach volleyball! Or just go to a beach and eat burgers. :P
